I really want to understand how companies are selecting candidates for interviews nowadays.

Is a resume alone enough to truly assess someone’s skills, experience, problem-solving ability, dedication, or potential?

I have applied to many Data Analyst positions where my experience genuinely aligns with both the job description and required skills. I have experience in SQL, Python, Tableau

, Excel, reporting, analytics, and project coordination — yet most applications end without even an interview opportunity.

What’s frustrating is not the rejection itself — it’s the silence. No feedback. No chance to explain experience beyond a few pages of a resume.

Sometimes it feels like years of hard work, certifications, and real-world experience are filtered out before a human even reviews the application.

“How Can a Resume Alone Define a Candidate’s True Potential?”

I know many skilled professionals are going through the same situation in today’s job market. Companies are searching for “perfect matches,” but talented candidates are being overlooked because resumes cannot fully represent capability and potential.

Hiring should be more than keyword matching.

I’m still learning, improving, and applying — but honestly, this process can feel discouraging and emotionally exhausting at times...

To recruiters and hiring managers: please remember there are real people behind every application.
